Jurgen Klopp explains his clash with Swansea supporter as Liverpool boss apologises after shock defeat

Jurgen Klopp apologised after taking his frustration out on a Swansea fan.
Liverpool boss Klopp admitted he reacted and shouted back at a supporter behind the dug-out after his side lost their 18 game unbeaten run to rock bottom Swansea.
A steward stepped in to calm down the situation but Klopp admitted he was left upset by his team’s first half performance as Swansea got only their fifth win of the season.
Klopp said: “He was shouting at me all the time. Sorry, I reacted one time, I remind myself I am a human being and not a professional manager who takes that all the time and they can say whatever they want.
“At one point, I said ‘please'. He felt quite good because nobody can do anything. He is in a good position. I'm sure I'm not the first manager. I think he's a season-ticket holder.

“It's my fault as well, I shouldn't have reacted. But I didn't say anything bad, only that I showed I wasn't too happy by what he was saying all the time.
“I am frustrated. I am more frustrated about the performance than the result. The result is always a result of the performance.
“We were just not good enough tonight, especially in the first half. We didn't play what we wanted to play.

"That's what Swansea wanted tonight. It's not Swansea's job to play progressive football, it was to fight. We wanted to fight as well. We had the ball more often, we had the plan and in the second half we did more what we wanted to do from the beginning.
“It was much more difficult than if we'd done that from the beginning because they were exactly where they wanted, the stadium was there (with them) and their confidence grew and ours was not really there.”
Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal celebrated after Alfie Mawson’s 40th minute winner by insisting it can give them the platform to stay up. Swansea stayed up last season after winning at Liverpool on January 21, 2017, and Carvalhal claims they can do it again after outsmarting Klopp.
Carvalhal said: “Liverpool is a top team, they are Formula 1, but if you put a Formula 1 car in London traffic at 4pm, it will not run very fast.
“I told the players they have a great team but we must not open the roads to them or they will destroy us
“We can survive, we are improving and can get better. We are breathing. We are not out of hospital, but we are out of emergency. Now we can accept visits!”
